Axial stack

The lower skirt covers the complete stepped collar. The internal seat contacts its top face. The retainer underside meets the body rim and wood end at the same height. Do not tighten a screw to force a dimensional mismatch shut.

What a composite club contains

Knob → handle → central joint → hollow body → protective top. The core runs internally through the assembly. Your photos show the handle and stepped plastic joint still attached, with the wooden core exposed because the large body has been removed.

Dubé documents hardwood cores, polyethylene bodies and rubber end protection. Henrys documents screw-and-washer top retention. PLAY describes body replacement through the top screw. These establish the construction approach, not the identity of your clubs.

The generated part is only the replacement body and its fittings. The wood, white collar and short handle in the viewer are reference geometry, never included in the body STL.

Where to put the ruler

A: lower edge of the plastic collar. This is the bottom of the generated skirt, z = 0. Do not include loose tape unless it must remain inside the socket.

B: top face of the plastic collar. Measure the lower wide band's height, the taper's height and the upper narrow section's height. Their sum is A → B.

C: end face of the wood. Measure B → C along the axis. Exclude the screw. The shell length A → C is the two lengths added together.

Measure diameters at several angles and at multiple positions. For a square shoulder enter transition height 0. This generator supports a lower wide section, a straight taper or step, and an upper narrow section; it is not a universal free-form socket modeller.

Assembly and test sequence

Remove the screw and old body remnants. Print the complete socket test first. It should pass over both diameters and stop on the collar's top face, not on a hidden lower shoulder. Check that the lower skirt actually reaches A.

After the fit is established, print the body. Seat the cap's two locating sleeves, then use the measured washer and suitable screw in the existing wooden hole. Do not overtighten into end grain or force a gap closed.

The rigid cap takes the screw clamp load. A separately printed flexible cover conceals the metal. Its stretch lip is a prototype retention feature, not a validated snap joint. Check it cannot come off in use. Weigh and check balance before controlled low drops in a clear area.

Consulted 7 September 2026. This printed adaptation is not a manufacturer's approved repair. TPU 95A is a candidate for body and bumper; a suitable tough rigid material is needed for the retainer. Material, wall, orientation and geometry need real testing. A closed mesh does not establish strength or print success.
